        Verdict

        Mike De Kock got off the mark for the season on Thursday and he has the pair at the top and bottom of this handicap. Alareef has won three times around here though generally needs his opening run while Syncopation, an easy winner over 7f in March, was beaten a long way on his reappearance though that wasn't his form and he can do much better. MOOSIR (NAP) has won three races here and though 5lb higher for completing a double last month still looks on a reasonable mark and a hat-trick beckons. Strong Chemistry had been showing nothing before a surprise victory at Jebel Ali though that was over 7f and he's never looked like a sprinter. Almanaara won a handicap over course and distance in November but couldn't defy a 9lb rise on a return visit earlier this month.
