In depth

Verdict

Mike De Kock runs three here with MUSHREQ looking the one to be on despite his surprise defeat by stablemate Mujaarib at this level last month. A Group 2 winner here a year ago, he made a successful return in a Listed contest beating subsequent winner Gabrial and his overall form should be good enough. Anaerobio also represents the South African and he completed a double over 7f before beaten in a tough handicap last week. He had Mshawish less than a length behind in the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort last month but had a decided fitness advantage over the runner-up who can turn the tables. Trade Storm won this a year ago and has every chance of repeating the process as though well behind the selection last month that was his first start since a fine placed effort in a Grade 1 at Woodbine in September. Marco Botti's import from Brazil, Edu Querido, made a promising start for the yard after a long absence three weeks ago and will improve though this is tougher.
