Energia Davros has run very well in his two starts since the turn of the year and looks certain to get involved again but may just be a couple of pounds high in the weights. He had Tha'ir and WINTERLUDE behind when third to Sunshaawes a fortnight ago but it's the latter who can take this as he wasn't given the best of rides and was staying on strongly over the slightly shorter trip. Alexandra Palace looked one to follow when making a successful debut on the track and didn't get the best of runs when attempting a follow-up so shouldn't be dismissed. Farrier has won here in the past but that was two years ago and he's much higher in the ratings nowadays while Starboard has his attentions switched to Tapeta after running moderately here on Turf.
