Verdict

Royal Brave is upped in class off a higher mark after winning over track and trip with One Boy back in third and Star Cracker well beaten. Lucky Beggar was sent off favourite at Beverley last week but could only manage fourth having reportedly bled from the nose and DESERT ACE is preferred. The latter can race off a lower mark than when scoring at Ripon last year if an apprentice’s allowance is taken into account and he should be sharper for last month’s comeback run. Alsvinder won a maiden at Newcastle last season but hasn’t raced since disappointing at Doncaster in June.
