La Matanza gets a narrow vote in a tricky looking contest, Penny Post and Fractured Foxy appear to be the main threats. David Barron's charge ended last season with a victory in a competitive handicap at Hamilton. She stayed on strongly over that six furlong trip to beat Memphis Moon and as she won first time out last season the lack of a recent run shouldn't be a problem. Penny Post ran well at Chester last week behind Heywood and this consistent type should be thereabouts again this afternoon. Fractured Foxy has been on the go all season but holds her form well and should go well from the bottom of the handicap. Dispol Isle knows how to win races and is another in with claims, but on this occasion we will plump for her stable companion La Matanza.
