    Verdict

A trappy event where cogent cases can be made for many and HIDDEN JUSTICE (NAP) can get back to winning ways. The six-year-old is better known over hurdles though he did shape well on a return to the Flat at Catterick and he appears capable of picking up a race off this mark. Longshadow is a likeable enough sort and Jason Ward's gelding accounted for Katie Gale when they met at Doncaster. Today's trip is probably sharp enough for him these days and Michael Appleby's mare gets a chance to reverse the form at more favourable terms. Jan Smuts is a regular in races of this type and he seems sure to give another good account. Neuf Des Coeurs was a wide margin winner over a shorter trip last month and is in receipt of weight from the market principals.
