J P McManus purchased UPSIE after she landed what looked a very strong bumper at Saint-Cloud in November 2011. Fitness is rarely a problem for one from her yard and though making her hurdling debut after a long absence she's taken to make a winning start. Appletime has been looking one-paced and may do better when sent over further but Clar Na Mionn ran well behind Jennies Jewel over track and trip last time and must be on the short-list. Winning point-to-pointer and bumper Golden Plan disappointed on his hurdling bow at Limerick but will have learnt from the experience and can do better. Alexander Leaving, another running in the McManus colours, is one to note for the future.
