In depth

Verdict

Mogwli gained his only victory on fast ground and was well beaten on heavy going at Roscommon on Tuesday. Half Nutz went up 8lb for winning a strong nursery here in October but it made no difference as he impressed over an extra furlong at Limerick on his comeback. He's been raised another 9lb which could let in TAGGALO (NAP) for her maiden success. She showed potential in three starts for Sheila Lavery last season and made a very promising reappearance for Johnny Murtagh at the Curragh, where she was always in the front rank and stayed on well. Lady Alcazar is yet to win but she's been consistent and was only beaten a short-head at Sligo, though could have done without a 3lb rise.
