Three of the newcomers here, Scottish Reel, King's Parade and Akatara, were with major yards on the Flat but showed very little though the latter has the right pedigree for this game. Those that have had experience over timber look a moderate bunch but NARIMA has done enough to earn the vote. Mervyn Torrens' French recruit made a very promising debut here before finding Grade 2 company too tough at Leopardstown. Her latest effort behind Plan A at Gowran suggested she could soon be winning and she has nothing to fear from Fammi Sognare on that form. Driverheron made a bright start over timber when runner-up to Quarton at Naas but appeared to find more testing conditions at Thurles against her on her only subsequent start.
