Al Boum Photo landed a Grade 2 novice hurdle over 2m4f at Fairyhouse and was taking on top-class opposition at Punchestown in April. That latter event was over 3m and he looks a smart staying prospect but he'll need to be at peak form to see off LE MARTALIN, who has the benefit of a recent run over fences. Only headed in the dying strides by Dinaria Des Obeaux at Wexford last month, with the remainder in another parish, he'll probably be better suited by today's trip and can go one better. Tycoon Prince, runner-up in a Grade 2 over hurdles here in December, is another who may find this on the short side as he makes his chasing bow while Minella Till Dawn will need to raise his game after a moderate opening run over fences at Galway. Surf Instructor has been biding his time over hurdles having always looked a potentially decent chaser.
