Verdict

A smashing hunter chase to close the card and one in which we like the look of Little Farmer over Smarty, Right To Reply, Cimaronne Cove and Chicago City. There are some familiar names in the line-up here, including the 2001 Martell Grand National runner-up Smarty, the former Noel Chance inmate Right To Reply, the former 100-rated handicapper Oscar Wilde, former decent Irish winner Masalarian, the formerly useful Mark Pitman-trained gelding Cimarrone Cove and the in-form Norman Gifford's Chicago City, who was backed on his return to action last time and should be sharper for that experience. Add into the mix runners with solid - or better - hunter form in Hastate, Chasing The Bride, See Haitch Em, Little Farmer and Quetal, and you have a race to savour. Nominating a selection with any degree of confidence is not easy so watch for significant moves in the betting but, overall, we'll just plump for Little Farmer, who looks to have a lot of improvement in him, will have the benefit of coming here race-fit and also has with a profile that says he goes on a variety of goings.
