      Verdict

      Simon Walker wins plenty of these races but his mount, Sword Of The Lord, has only won on soft ground and that was back in 2013. Purple Lane hasn't been beaten far in his races though he's yet to prove he stays the distance but the trip shouldn't be a problem on the quick ground for HONG KONG JOE. Lydia Richards' charge is still a maiden but getting closer and only weakened close home when placed on softer going at Brighton last time. Hallingham was impeded at Sandown last time so the run should be ignored though he remains 11lb higher than his only winning mark. Automotive has won this for the past two years and shouldn't be dismissed despite a couple of poor recent efforts as he's likely to have been targeted at the event.
