Mighty Ambition is bred in the purple and it would be no surprise to see the Godolphin colt make a winning start to his career. Great Soprano and Sir Bedivere both have some fancy entries, as does AAZIF. John Dunlop's stable has had a quiet summer but they could have a decent prospect on their hands with this son of Nayef who is a half-brother to four winners including the yard's useful stayer Akmal. He'll need further in time but the easy ground should suit and he could start at decent odds on his debut. Blinkers may not inspire Firestarter to break his duck but Richard Hannon's filly Varnish would be worth a second look if the market spoke in her favour.
