In depth

Verdict

Richard Hannon sets a poser here saddling Shere Khan, Democretes and the once-raced Ortac Rock. Richard Hughes partners the second-named but Sean Levey claims 3lb off the latter, who probably has more scope. Dressed In Lace kept on well to break her duck at Chepstow when put back over this trip, while it's impossible to leave the tough Fanrouge out of calculations following another excellent effort behind the well-treated Chunky Diamond at Ascot. Van Der Art will be challenging for a place again and Avon Pearl is better than he showed at Goodwood but KEY AMBITION could be the one at the weights. Ignore his latest run at Beverley where he lost all chance when rearing as the stalls opened. He'd impressed at the same track earlier and still has plenty of scope.
