There have been two 50/1 shocks in the past eight years but it will take something special to beat TABARRAK this time. Richard Hannon's £180,000 yearling was a 33/1 chance on his debut at Newmarket but made the strongly fancied Tashweeq pull out the stops and the winner franked the form when landing a Listed contest at Doncaster last week. Fang had looked a certain future winner with good runs here and at Newmarket but didn't appear to handle softer conditions at Ascot. Dashing Approach attracted support and showed good speed before fading at Salisbury and will have come on for the run while Mystikana showed potential at the same fixture and won't mind today's conditions. Banham may prove best of the newcomers as he's a half-brother to seven winners.
