In depth

Verdict

MAJBOOR is a solid sort who may still be on the upgrade after only seven starts in three seasons. He came back from an eight-month absence to oblige at Kempton this month and previous performances reveal the gelding to be equally proficient on Turf. He's up 7lb for that recent success but still makes most appeal. Air Of York is in good heart at present but the suggestion strengthens that he's more at home over 7f as he was beaten over this trip last time and this rates a stronger contest on paper. Glendun should be all the better for a pipe-opener last month and is next best on the basis of fair handicap form last term. The other three cannot be ruled out as all have form good enough to compete at one time or another with recent Newbury runner-up Misu Pete taken as best of the trio.
