Amelia, Bee Minor, Catherine Wheel and I Wish can all go well here, but we will take a chance on Concubine. Looking at the field. Go Between disappointed last time, running keenly in the process, after running well over seven furlongs at this track the time before. Bee Minor finished just behind her last time but suggested that a drop back to six furlongs would suit, so do not rule her out of a good run. Cerulean Rose is entitled to be competitive for a place from her current mark but remains four-pounds higher than for her best win to date. Prima Stella's best form is on the all-weather and Boavista has struggled to win from her revised mark after scoring at Bath in May. Amelia comes here in good heart and her apprentice rider takes a fairly useful five pounds off her back, so she too could go well, while Concubine has to be seriously considered as she was unlucky at Goodwood last time, has been dropped two pounds for that effort, is dropped in distance today and has cheekpieces fitted. I Wish is another who is now on a competitive mark while Catherine Wheel, who is beautifully bred and hails from a stable in form, should be a lot better than the bare form of her Doncaster maiden win. She is likely to prove popular in the betting but we will side with Concubine.
