      Verdict

Hail Promenader is respected but the two latest wins next to his name necessitate perspective as they were achieved in the Channel Islands and on Fibresand. Those victories will have strengthened confidence but this represents a tougher assignment. Megalala is a standing dish at Brighton but is not so effective elsewhere and the old boy is a stone higher for two recent successes at the Sussex venue, prior to a solid Kempton effort off an unchanged mark. Dark And Dangerous keeps threatening to land an overdue success and went well at Leicester earlier in the week and should do so again but HERNANDO TORRES is preferred. The Easterby team do well in such contests and the selection goes sweetly for an amateur or inexperienced pilot. He's at home over a variety of trips and ground and went well for this partner when the pair claimed third spot over a trip too short of his best last time.
