War Department came good again over track and trip a week ago but makes less appeal under a penalty attempting to confirm running with third-placed Bouclier. Via Via ended last season with a success at Newmarket but is 5lb higher on his return. TWIN APPEAL also makes his reappearance but he finished third in a higher grade contest at Doncaster in November and David Barron’s charge can figure in this off the same mark. Glorious Poet is another returning from a lay-off having only won a maiden race at Redcar last year but stablemate Baltic Prince won at Kempton in November and could play a part.
