Verdict

Janet's Pearl sets the standard here after three runs and a win would be no shock, but after finishing runner-up twice she is clearly not invincible and preference is for newcomer VENTURA SANDS. Richard Fahey can have them ready to win first time and his colt begins over an ideal-looking 7f. He is related to success over a mile and should strip fit enough to go very close. Old Possum looks the pick of the Godolphin pair on pedigree and jockey bookings and he will be one to note in the paddock, while Defence Of Duress is another related to plenty of juvenile success and is entitled to be in the mix. Ventura Sands is the one for us.
