JACK BLANE went close over this trip at Wetherby in June. He was only beaten a head when favourite over 7f here earlier this month and, despite a 2lb rise, looks the one to beat today. Honey Badger had a mind of his own but was on his best behaviour when second at Yarmouth on his belated reappearance. Kilbaha Lady is back on a winning mark and hasn’t been running badly over this trip lately while Lozah scored off this mark over course and distance last November. Thornaby Nash won at Carlisle last month but needs to improve on previous runs here.
