In depth

Verdict

A very tight little handicap with nothing separating the sextet. The Galloping Shoe pulled up twice over timber before reverting to the Flat with a fine run behind Bonfire Knight at Doncaster. MAINLAND, who won over this trip at Ripon in August, ran at the same Doncaster fixture and only weakened at the furlong pole after showing good pace. That was only his fifth start and he looks ready to score again. Munsarim disappointed later last season after better form on faster going in the summer while Desert Vixen is probably best on Polytrack. Line Of Duty has won over 1m1f but may prefer further and David O'Meara's Irish import Desert Romance is looking a few pounds high in the weights after advancing from 62 to 85 in the space of two months last summer.
