In depth

Verdict

Vetvey stepped up to 7f at Beverley and did a little better but he's looking very one-paced. Downtown Boy ran well on his final start at Pontefract in October and is 15lb lower than when making his handicap debut here in August. Byron Bear was noted staying on over 7f at Musselburgh early this month so the extra furlong will suit while Dysios is expected to do much better this season after three runs in Kempton maidens. CROWN RIDGE is probably not one to rely on totally and is likely to start a short price but his run behind Trading at Catterick last week suggests he's ready to gain the second success of his career.
