In depth

Verdict

A close-up fourth over 6f on his recent debut at Chepstow, ALCAZAR was doing his best work at the finish and this extra distance should suit David Simcock’s colt. Major Cornwallis came up well short when favourite for a seller at York last time and Flawed Diamond may improve past him after a modest start at Redcar. Mister Belvedere is related to a winner on the Fibresand at Southwell and preferred to Harry George of the newcomers.
