In depth

Verdict

David O’Meara has a strong hand given Regal Dan and stablemate Rex Imperator finished second and third respectively at Doncaster last week and could both go well again. Lavetta won in this grade at the same track in June and is only 2lb higher but NORTHGATE LAD (NAP) is just preferred. Brian Ellison’s charge returned to form with a close-up third over track and trip last time when ahead of Candelisa and drops in class today with an apprentice taking 7lb off his back. Boots And Spurs remains 6lb higher than his earlier success at Doncaster and Margaret's Mission is preferred off her current mark.
