Verdict

Mirsaale has been superbly placed by Keith Dalgleish and gained the ninth victory of his career with a battling performance at Kelso. He's up 4lb but can never be ruled out, despite a big weight. MASTER OF IRONY won a Wetherby handicap in October and though that was on good going he was going on strongly at the finish in a Listed handicap at Newbury next time and that could be good enough here. Reverant Cust won a novices' hurdle here last March and scored again at Catterick last week though this is a step up in grade from a 5lb higher mark. He had earlier been beaten narrowly by Joke Dancer at Haydock and they meet again on the same terms. Cool Mix has been making steady progress and makes his handicap debut after scoring on heavy ground at Kelso last month.
