Verdict

This is tricky with the leading contenders dropping back in trip. Briardale continues to improve but has been raised 10lb for dotting-up in the Zetland Gold Cup over 1m2f at Redcar last month and QAFFAAL is another progressive sort and is just preferred. The latter was beaten less than a length in this grade at Chelmsford last time and Mck Easterby’s charge can race off the same mark today. Examiner and Replenish can both figure at this level but the former was due to run yesterday at Salisbury. The likes of Coinstantino and Chestnut Fire have something to prove upped in class.
