Another big field goes to post here and we will side with ALFRED NOBEL to get the better of Atlantis Star, Markazzi and Society Rock. The testing ground may have been an excuse for a below-par effort from Alfred Nobel in a Group 1 contest at the Curragh last month as he failed to quite get home over 7f. Prior to that he had been in great form, winning three on the bounce, including a Group 1 event at the Curragh when he got the better of Air Chief Marshal. He will have no problems seeing out this trip on today's ground and he has a good draw and he can prove the class act in the field. Atlantic Star could be a danger as Saeed Bin Suroor is in good form and this colt remains unexposed. He got a little worked up at Goodwood last month when he finished a close third behind Vale Of York and if he can settle better today then he should have a definite chance. Markazzi looks a useful prospect and he won in good style at Leicester at the start of last month, but this is much more competitive and he will need to take a huge step in the right direction to get competitive. Society Rock is chasing the hat-trick but he won here over 6f last time and this slightly longer trip should suit. John Gosden won this race last year but it is hard to see him repeating the feat today with Kona Coast who looks out of his depth. Alfred Nobel looks a class act and he can regain the winning thread.
