In depth

Verdict

A nice prize has brought out a strong field with most in top form. Four of them are on hat-tricks including the top-weight Thriving, on a mark of 89 after making all for an easy victory at Chepstow. Ginger Nut beat a huge field in the Super Sprint over 5f at Newbury where she wasn't stopping at the finish and, though 8lb higher, can make her presence felt again. Quiet Waters has won a couple of minor events in good style and looks a nice prospect while Princess Power has looked very progressive in her last two starts and a mark of 71 may be underestimating her. Strings Of Life has run in two Listed contests since a winning debut on the Rowley Course in April but the vote goes to PORCELAIN GIRL, who was ridden with plenty of confidence on her nursery debut at Doncaster and won with something up her sleeve.
