Quartino and Motive are two of the least exposed runners in the field and both hold strong claims, but we will give the vote to Torinmoor. Amanda Perrett's stable was badly out of form when Torinmoor made his seasonal debut, but the Newmarket juvenile maiden winner produced far more last time at Windsor when third behind the impressive La Persiana. Not helping his chance by hanging badly left, he nonetheless stayed on quite strongly and can win off this current mark. At York last time, Motive moved smoothly into the lead 2f out only to be let down by lack of experience, going left, idling in front and just getting caught. This was the well-backed colt's third outing, and he should still be open to improvement. Quartino ended last campaign with an effortless victory at Nottingham, the handicapper has taken note, but we may not have seen the best of this well bred colt. Others to note here are Silent Hawk and Royal warrant, but with the stable coming back to form Torinmoor looks the one to be on.
