    Verdict

Utley had no chance from a wide draw on his reappearance in the UAE Derby but this big drop in distance on fast ground may not be ideal. Elzaam was runner-up in last year's Coventry Stakes and showed he stayed this trip in the Horris Hill on his final start last year while Pausanias proved a progressive colt in the autumn and could be well handicapped. They are preferred to The Paddyman and Majestic Dubawi, who may have trouble lasting home over this extra furlong, but we are coming down on the side of REROUTED. Barry Hills has made a slow start to the new Flat season but this Stormy Atlantic colt could be the one to change the veteran Lambourn trainer's fortunes if reproducing his win the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes over this C&D last September.
