      Verdict

      The booking of Frankie Dettori for Newnham takes the eye but Jim Boyle's gelding has been doing most of his racing on the all-weather so he may be best left out of calculations with preference for Well Established ahead of Villa Sonata. The last mentioned has solid claims at the weights but his best form is on a faster surface so she may be best watched unless the ground dries up noticeably. The lightly raced Penryn has to be respected for trainer David Elsworth, while the more experienced Top Spec probably has too much to do at the weights. Incidentally has ground conditions to suit but has yet to prove his effectiveness over this far and a safer option looks to lie with the Michael Jarvis-trained Well Established, who is relatively lightly raced this term, has ground conditions to suit and is more than capable of giving weight away all round.
