Verdict

Ballydoyle star CARAVAGGIO (NAP) takes on older sprinters as he bids to keep his unbeaten record intact. He found himself with some ground to make up in the Commonwealth Cup at Ascot last time but class told in the end and he beat Harry Angel a shade more cosily than the winning margin suggests. The Tin Man had to survive a stewards’ enquiry in the Diamond Jubilee at Ascot but deservedly did so having beaten Tasleet and Limato with a late surge. But the latter looked particularly unlucky when hampered in the closing stages and may well reverse running as he attempts to repeat last year’s success in this. Brando and Mr Lupton were behind The Tin Man in the Champions Sprint at Ascot last year and the remainder also look up against it at this level.
