In depth

Verdict

Jasi has made a solid start to his career but was a well-beaten second in a similar race to this at Pontefract last time. Palmer has an advantage in race experience over some of these but hasn’t come close to getting his nose in front in four attempts, so preference is for GIFT IN TIME. He wasn’t beaten far on debut, and while he was clearly outclassed in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, he should be able to pick up his first win back at this level. The admirably consistent Three Little Birds has the ability to make the frame and Tom Dascombe’s Ginbar looks the pick of the newcomers.
