Iceman George lines up in a bid to replicate last season's glory and he's not handicapped out of this despite recent successes but preference is for TARTARIA with Coiled Spring, Folio and Sunley Spinalonga others to consider. Last year's hero is 5lbs higher twelve months on but his jockey claims 3lbs and he beat all bar a progressive rival at Yarmouth who possibly should have fared a little better next time. Coiled Spring has yet to win a race but started last season racing from 87 and lines up here, just four races later, on a mark of 70 and he could well emerge as a leading player in this grade. Sunley Spinalonga has only finished out of the frame twice in her career and saw out her race well on her first run over this trip at Windsor four days ago; she may well face a rise in the weights following that run so could be well in here whilst she has been turned out relatively quickly in the past. Folio is on a winning mark and running well with his latest effort better than the form figures suggest and he should go well but a chance is taken with a newcomer to the handicap ranks. Tartaria was outclassed by the first three home at Chepstow but that was her third promising run in maidens, this is more realistic and she's taken to make the most of her initial mark with her yard going well.
