In depth

Verdict

Snow Bay hasn't run a bad race since wintering at Cagnes-sur-mer but finished behind Dubai Dynamo at Ripon two runs ago and has been put up 3lb for finishing second at York last week. Desert Romance won over this trip at Naas last year and wasn't beaten far over 1m2f at Redcar on his latest start. He has each-way claims along with Chester winner Viva Ronaldo, who looks the pick of Richard Fahey's pair. Bahceli won here on his reappearance before running well in the Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot and is another to note but it may be worth taking a chance on the fitness of GIVE YOUR VERDICT, who looked very progressive in the autumn when he beat last month's Royal Hunt Cup winner at Sandown. He's starting this year's campaign on a decent mark on that evidence.
