Verdict

Like in the first division, two of these have already won races. African Jazz was successful over 1m4f at Lingfield but Charlie Appleby must still have thought his charge was saving something for himself as he’s reached for the cheekpieces. OCCUPY has entries in the Dante and the Epsom Derby and there is stamina on his dam’s side. He showed a nice turn of foot to make a winning debut over a mile at Kempton in November and is clearly useful. El Ghazwani is a half-brother to three winners but Guardsman doesn’t have an outstanding pedigree and has already been gelded. Howman is closely related to the top-class Lillie Langtry but he might prove best at shorter trips.
