In depth

Verdict

Trojan Rocket managed to prevail by just a head over C&D last month and with just a 2lb rise for that success, the handicapper has offered an obvious opportunity to follow up. However, third placed CREW CUT gets to reoppose on 1lb better terms so there is a strong likelihood that Jeremy Gask's four-year-old can exact his revenge. Showboating and Rafaaf are regulars on the July course and they are sure to run their races whilst Brighton winner, The Strig, appreciates plenty of give and cannot be ruled out. Delft disappointed on her first venture onto the turf but as a daughter of a Kyllachy mare, it would be folly to dismiss Jeremy Noseda's filly on this surface. Rash Judgement has a less sexy profile than many of the runners but the C&D winner is thoroughly honest and is still some way lower in the handicap than where he was at this time last year.
