In depth

Verdict

Dubai Meydan, High Standing and Oceana Blue make the shortlist here with High Standing taken to complete a four timer. Oceana Blue has been running consistently at a lower level and got due reward with a good win last time. the second has been placed since to give the race a solid look but this is a tougher assignment and he may have to settle for a place. Dubai Meydan lost his maiden tag at Catterick before running a blinder in defeat at Epsom in a classy handicap. Raised five pounds for that sound effort, Dubai Meydan is progressing well and can go close. High Standing is six pounds higher than when justifying favouritism on his re-appearance. He finished off last season in terrific fashion, winning his last two starts readily. He is on the upgrade and the handicapper may not have his measure just yet. High Standing can win again.
