In depth

Verdict

The market will provide the best guide to this contest post race. John Gosden's apparent first string Seminole is selected as the most likely winner on breeding. A 140,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, this Indian Ridge colt is a half-brother to a six time juvenile winner in Le Vie Dei Colori and is bred for this 7 furlongs which can prove to be a specialist trip for juveniles at this time of the year. Support for Jazz Police would be noteworthy hailing from the Richard Hannon stable who's talent in the juvenile division is quite substantial while Mefraas is another interesting newcomer, although the yard are not renowned for first time out juvenile winners. The once raced Auld Arty raced over what probably was too short a trip on his debut but it would be surprising if he proved good enough to land it judged on that effort. Seminole is the selection to land it.
