    Verdict

BATRANA was unfancied for her debut over 7f here but went close to catching the winner with the third five lengths behind. Mike De Kock's filly is preferred to the older Royal Flag on today's terms. The latter was just held at Kempton on his return to action and should be in the mix once again but it's hard to see any of the remainder getting into it. Frederic will have come on from a modest debut over track and trip but may prove best of them.
