In depth

Verdict

A competitive line up for the feature race and the vote goes to Go Bananas while others to consider include Arfinnit, Big Bradford, Bentley's Ball and Lunar Wind. Brian Meehan's charge has progressed with experiene and opened his account over this trip at Windsor last month. The Primo Dominie colt was far from disgraced on his handicap debut when third behind useful performers at Newbury and the form was given a timely boost as the runner-up scored in similar company at Newmarket yesterday. The selection has been raised 3lb since but there should be more to come from this progressive type and he should give a good account. Bentley's Ball comes here chasing a hat-trick and looked a useful prospect when lifting a similar contest over course and distance on his latest start. However, he has taken a sharp rise in the handicap and may struggle off his revised weight while Arfinnit may find this on the sharp side judged on recent evidence. In contrast, Lunar Wind, who is better than his latest placing suggests as he found trouble in running, will prove well suited by the step up to this trip and can't be ruled out in a difficult heat.
