      Verdict

Texas Gold has proved a model of consistency this term and had Delegate back in third when scoring over this trip at Newbury last time. William Muir's charge can confirm placings on just 2lb worse terms and should prove hard to beat once again with Delegate now in the grip of the handicapper following previous back-to-back wins at Bath and over course and distance. Hout Bay ran well last time but that was a weakish event and more is required at this level.
