      Verdict

ATHLETIC is progressing well and took advantage of a lower rating on Turf to score easily over 7f here a week ago. He'll stay this extra distance on that evidence and can shrug off a penalty. Specialty is up in class and weight after winning at Yarmouth while Meridius steps up in trip after scoring over 6f at Salisbury last time. Botanist has plenty to find with the selection and Redcar winner Tanawar failed to cope with a 4lb rise at Ayr on his latest start.
