Verdict

With five last-time-out winners in opposition, finding the right one in this won't be easy. Danvilla beat Trovare and Downhiller over 2m here earlier in the month but the latter pair re-oppose on better terms and could easily turn the tables over this shorter trip. Mister Angry is back in form and still on a decent mark, despite picking up a penalty for his win at Kempton, while there are also possibilities about the consistent Red Kestrel and Kazbow, who was second at Nottingham after beating Old Hundred at Doncaster. MANIFESTATION is the only three-year-old in the race but clearly lacks nothing in stamina, as he showed when staying on gamely to land a similar contest over this trip at Doncaster last time. Only 4lb higher here, he has the scope for further progress and can follow up though it would be no surprise to see another big run from Pittodrie Star now he's broken his duck on turf.
