Verdict

In the Tattersall Stakes, Ferneley is selected ahead of Thousand Words and Sadeeq. Third in a Group 2 contest at The Curragh to juvenile of the moment Teofilio last time, Ferneley looks like a strong Irish raider for this contest. Prior to his York failure, Thousand Words had looked a very interesting prospect. Interestingly, connections have kept him to seven furlongs again today and we are prepared to have faith in their faith and he can go well. Baby Strange, Big Robert and Danebury Hill all come here with a rating of 100 or more and they represent solid juvenile form, while the Coventry Stakes eighth Sadeeq, who was second in a The Curragh Group 2 race two runs ago, is also useful and could improve for his the step up to seven furlongs today. With other improving types also in the line-up, it all adds up to an interesting race, in which Ferneley gets the vote.
