    Verdict

Indian Days did well to defy a penalty in the John Porter Stakes at Newbury two weeks ago but could be found out by the extra in this company. Laaheb gave weight and a sound beating to Monitor Closely in the Group 3 Cumberland Lodge Stakes at Ascot in September and will have needed his run in Dubai last month. Roger Varian's son of Cape Cross should go well while Dandino's confidence will have been boosted by a facile win in minor company at Ripon but CAMPANOLOGIST is probably the one to beat here. The six-year-old hasn't raced since finishing down the field in the Melbourne Cup in November but his two wins in Group 1 races over this trip in Germany last summer is the best form on offer in this and fast ground hasn't proved a problem in the past. One-time Derby hope Native Ruler returns from a long absence and might need this.
