Major Davis has shown some signs of ability in maiden events but he’s also been less than fluent at his hurdles and unseated his rider last time out. Guerrilla Tactics is likely to fare better at this level than when finishing a well-beaten third over course and distance, but the suspicion is that he’s ideally suited by further, so preference is for BUBLE. He’s making a return to hurdles after running poorly in a novice chase and based on his second at Market Rasen in April, he should be good enough to take this. Hurdle debutant Gaelic Surprise may be capable of making the frame.
