    Verdict

Tim Vaughan is using a 10lb claimer to reduce the welter burden of Hawkhill, who has won three times this year. He is still conceding weight to all of his rivals, however, and seems to need softer ground to reproduce his best. We'll take him on with the less-exposed ADELAR, a Group performer on the Flat in France in his younger days and a ready winner over C&D last month. The four-year-old Ugo has improved with experience but the others appear to have plenty to find on what they've shown so far.
