Verdict

STARSTRUCK PETER can enhance the fine record of his trainer when employing the services of Tony McCoy and they are preferred to Kopylova and Amazing Request. The Lewes based handler uses the Champion Jockey sparingly but with fifteen winners from just thirty six rides resulting in a strike rate of forty two per cent over the past five seasons it clearly pays to stand up and take notice when he does come knocking. Starstruck Peter hasn't run over hurdles since the spring of 2009 when he was with a different handler and appeals as just the type of animal that his new team will place to advantage. Kopylova didn't exactly shine in seven runs under Rules for a yard that hasn't sent out a winner from a handful of runners over the past five seasons but it would be no great surprise to see her perform a little better on debut for Tim Vaughan; the market will be revealing. Amazing Request has stronger, recent form claims than that pair but she could struggle to cope with Starstruck Peter.
